Our Patron Saint
St. Euphrasia Eluvathingal, fondly known as the “Praying Mother,” was a member of the Congregation of the Mother of Carmel (CMC) and is one of the most revered saints from Kerala. Born in 1877, she lived a life of deep prayer, humility, and compassion. Known for her strong devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and her constant intercession for those in need, she spent most of her life in the Ollur convent, where her holiness inspired many. St. Euphrasia was canonized in 2014 and is remembered for her unwavering faith, simplicity, and her powerful example of a life dedicated entirely to God.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ,
Parish is a worshipping community and a witnessing community. Members of the parish are called to be a community that not only gathers to worship but also goes out to bear witness to Jesus and His Gospel.
Our Lord Jesus gave us two powerful images of what our discipleship must look like, “You are the salt of the earth… “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13-14).Salt has two important meanings. First of all, it reminds us of the covenantal relationship with God (Cf. Lev 2:13; 2 Chron 13:5). As a worshipping community, parish should always remain in communion with God. Secondly, salt preserves and flavours the food. As a witnessing community, parish is called to bring the preserving power of Christ’s love, goodness, and truth into the world. This means acting with integrity, speaking with kindness, and offering hope in every interaction with others. As the light of the world, we are called to let our faith shine brightly, not for our own glory, but so that others may see the source of that light, God the Father. This light is our good works – acts of charity, commitment to justice, and witness to the Gospel through everyday life.
Let us recommit ourselves to living out this profound calling. Let us be united to the Lord through our worship and let our light shine before others through our life witness.
