March 9: The seed of our community was sown during a family visit at Mr. K.C. Saji’s home, leading to a joint Way of the Cross. This devotion continued at Mr. M.T. Antony’s house and later at the Ashram, guided by Fr. Thomas Maruthanikattu.
June 14: Sunday Evening Holy Mass began with a small gathering of four to five families, gradually growing in number.
July 13: A Historic Day. Rev. Bishop Raphael Thattil, accompanied by Fr. Francis and Fr. Joseph, celebrated Holy Mass. In the meeting that followed, the Budvel community was officially declared the 12th Unit of the Syro Malabar Church in Hyderabad, with St. Euphrasia chosen as our Heavenly Patron.
April 7: A significant milestone was achieved with the signing of the agreement to purchase the land and building for the church at Rajendranagar.
October 1: Inauguration of “Arte Viva,” a glass artwork unit under the social service initiative of Santhom Mission, located at our Rajendranagar building.
July 3: Fr. Liyo Vembil officially took charge as Assistant Vicar.
July 30: Official launch of “Prakasham Candles,” an initiative by the Mathruvedi (Mothers’ Forum). The first packet was handed to Fr. Anto Munjanattu.
November 10: The community celebrated the Silver Jubilee of Fr. Thomas Maruthanikkattu’s priestly ordination.
July 28: To ensure the safety of Ashram inmates during the COVID-19 pandemic, parish activities were shifted to the Rajendranagar property. The ground floor was prepared, and Holy Mass was celebrated there for the first time on the Feast of St. Alphonsa.
January 14: The parish bid a grateful farewell to Fr. Thomas Maruthanikkattu and Fr. Liyo Vembil, acknowledging their selfless service in nurturing the community.
January 31: Fr. Gibi Jose took charge as the new Parish Priest. Fr. Abraham Palathinkal (Vicar General) oversaw the transfer of administration.
June 13: Fr. Marydas Kulangara was welcomed as the Assistant Director of Social Services to assist in parish activities.
January 26: The St. Euphrasia team won the Ecumenical Volleyball Tournament organized by Yuva Jyothi.
February 27: Celebrated the Silver Jubilee of Fr. Gibi N. Jose’s priesthood.
March 5: Success in the SYM Badminton Championship with Mr. Ajesh and Mr. Alvin securing runner-up positions.
June 29: Compassion in Action: Through the Prem Marg nodal unit, financial support (₹10,000 each) was provided to three cancer patients. Funds were raised through the Lenten coin box collection by catechism children and parish contributions.
August 31: Launch of the “1000 Mani Japamala,” a new Marian devotion initiative.
November 14: In association with Prem Marg, financial assistance (₹25,000) was provided to a dialysis patient in the neighborhood.
March 26: Conducted a Penitential Walk reciting the Way of the Cross from Don Bosco Shrine, Bandlaguda Jagir, to our church.
August 13: Fr. Gibi N. Jose was transferred to Secunderabad, and Fr. Jeomon Kalleri took charge as the new Parish Priest.
March 10: Pastoral visit by Auxiliary Bishop Mar Joseph Kollamparambil.
July 7: Pithruvedi Initiative: The Fathers’ Forum launched a monthly support program, providing provision kits (worth approx. ₹1,000) to 10 economically disadvantaged families in the neighborhood.
January 19: Parish One-Day Trip to Kunnath Farmhouse, Medchal.
May 10: Fr. Jeomon Kalleri transferred to Diocesan duties. Fr. Thomas Poothara, TOR took charge as the new Parish Priest.
August 3: Visit by Auxiliary Bishop Mar Thomas Padiyath.

We believe God ordained the family to glorify him. We are committed to cultivate an atmosphere which promotes spiritual growth within the family by reaching families with the gospel, discipling them in Christ-like character and teaching each family member how to fulfill their God-given role.
